Cases rise in regional Victoria and in the young

Victorian COVID Taskforce Commander Jeroen Weimar says there has been growth in regional COVID-19 cases.
“Of all the cases today over 14 per cent are in regional Victoria, there’s a significant increase on where we’ve been over recent days,” he said.
Mr Weimar said there was also an increase in cases in young people as 29 per cent of all cases in metro areas yesterday were in people aged under 19 years old.
In the regions, the figure increased to 38 per cent of cases being under 19 years of age.
